Once the soft pink enters, the whole room stops apologising. This is a warm, busy sitting-room scene, and it brings a room the kind of lived-in feeling that plain neutrals never quite manage. Hung on a hallway wall or above a sideboard, it gives the eye somewhere to settle and makes a corridor feel like part of the house rather than a route through it.
