Here’s the trick: let the abstract cut through all that linen. A room full of pale fabric and quiet neutrals needs one thing with colour in it, and this is that thing. Put it up and the blues pull the room cooler and cleaner, while the pink and mint stop it going cold. It suits a living room chimney breast, a bedroom above the headboard, or the wall behind a desk where you actually look up. Keep the furniture plain: light wood, soft upholstery, glass or chrome. Skip busy patterned cushions and heavy dark wood nearby, and don’t crowd it with small framed photos on the same wall.
