What it adds isn’t clutter. It’s loose brushwork tension in the right places. A quiet kitchen or hallway gets a shot of warmth from the soft pink background, then a jolt of bright blue and mustard from the bird itself. Colours you already own start to look deliberate: terracotta pots, a striped tea towel, a green plant on the sill. Hang it at eye level on a plain wall, above a console in the hall, or on a kitchen feature wall where you pass it daily. Pair it with painted wood, cane, linen and glazed stoneware. Don’t crowd it with other loud florals or busy patterned wallpaper it needs a bit of plain wall around it to land. On fine-art paper the brushmarks and dry-brush edges stay crisp.
