Three things it does fast: ground dark green, sharpen brass, wake hallway. It gives a plain wall a face and a bit of humour, so the room stops feeling like a corridor and starts feeling like somewhere people live. Hang it at eye level in a hallway, above a low bookshelf in a study, or on the wall beside a child’s bed. Pair it with painted walls in off-white or soft pink, warm wood shelving, mustard or green textiles and cane furniture.
