In the 1970s, this would have felt radical. It still does. A soft Cancer aura warm yellow at the centre, washed blue around it, sitting on a calm blush ground with small zodiac text below.

On the wall, the room gets warmer and quieter at the same time. The blush softens hard corners, the yellow centre catches the light in the evening, and the whole thing acts as a gentle focal point without shouting.

Best above a bed, a small desk or a reading chair. Works on its own at medium size, or as the anchor of a soft pastel set.

Pairs well with pale oak, linen bedding, cream ceramics and brushed brass. Keep the surrounding shelf-styling light one candle, one small plant, one stack of books.

Don’t put it next to anything dark, heavy or high-contrast. A black-and-white photo or a deep oil painting will fight it. Stretched over a wooden frame and ready to hang straight from the box.
