On a warm afternoon, the coral looks almost illegally fresh. The thick paint catches the light, so the flower reads as raised rather than flat, and the deep teal behind it stops the whole thing tipping into sweetness. Hang it where a room has gone a bit quiet: above a sideboard, over a low sofa, or on a dining wall that needs one strong colour to lead. It sits happily with warm brown timber, cream linen, rattan and rust or mustard textiles, and teal or deep green paint will echo the background. Don’t crowd it with other florals or busy pattern one big bloom does the work on its own. As a canvas, the woven surface plays well with the heavy brushwork.
