Unlike most bird art, this doesn’t wait for approval. The flamingo leans in from the edge, deep red neck against a hand-brushed blue and pink check, and the whole wall wakes up. A quiet kitchen or hallway suddenly has a focal point, and the pink softens all that cool blue so the room reads friendly rather than loud. Hang it at eye level in a hallway, above a sideboard, or on a narrow strip of kitchen wall between cupboards. Pair it with painted cabinetry, cane seating, blue-and-white china and a checked cushion or two. Don’t crowd it with other patterned art one check per wall is plenty.
