Too much beige. Not enough soft pink. This fixes that. It earns its keep in a kids’ room, a hallway that needs a jolt, or a kitchen wall above the counter. Keep the surroundings simple: pale wood, painted cabinets, cane or rattan, plain cotton in one colour. Don’t sit it next to heavy pattern busy wallpaper or a loud rug will fight it and both will lose. As a canvas it reads softer and more relaxed, with no reflection to fight the colour.
