By mid-morning, the folk dove stops looking decorative and starts working. The warm sandy background picks up the daylight and the room feels a shade softer than it did before. Dark green leaves and blue flowers give a plain wall something to hold onto, and the small orange flowers pull warmth back into pale furniture.
