What’s the hallway missing? Soft green with some nerve. This one pulls a plain corridor into focus: warm beige background, fine gold line work, a green owl and big cream peonies with a jolt of deep red at the base. Hang it at eye level on a narrow hallway wall, or above a bedroom chest of drawers where you pass it every day. It takes well to velvet, linen, cane and dark stained wood, and it likes a chalky off-white or warm clay wall behind it.
