Most abstract prints behave. This one picks a side. Big blocks of orange, green and blue break up through a screen of printed dots, with black weight in one corner and off-white space holding the middle. On the wall it does the job a rug or a bold cushion can’t: it sets the colour temperature for the whole room. Hang it in a living room, study or hallway where the walls are plain and the furniture is quiet. It sits well with pale wood, walnut, chrome legs and plain linen. Keep the surrounding surfaces simple skip patterned wallpaper, busy shelf styling and other loud colour pieces right beside it. One strong voice per wall is plenty. As canvas the colour blocks read softer and the surface has a low sheen.
