Nothing in this coral pink and teal whispers, even when the living room does. Put it up and the wall stops being background the bloom pulls colour into a room that has gone too safe, and the teal behind it reads almost tropical. Hang it above a sideboard, on a hallway wall you walk past every day, or centred between two windows where daylight can hit the thick, ridged brushwork. Pair it with warm timber, rattan, terracotta pots and one deep green cushion so the colours have somewhere to land. What not to do: crowd it with other loud florals or hang it on a busy patterned wallpaper. It needs plain wall and a bit of breathing space to do its job. As a canvas the painted ridges read as real surface, with no glazing between you and the colour.
