The black frame matters first; it tells the bedroom you’re serious. Once it’s up, the wall goes quieter and more grown-up. The warm cream ground softens hard modern rooms, while the loose black lines give a plain wall something to hold onto without adding noise. Hang it above a bed, a chest of drawers or a writing desk, roughly at eye level, and give it a bit of empty wall on either side. Pair it with linen, pale timber, cream wool and one dark metal detail. Don’t crowd it with busy pattern, big bold colour or a tight cluster of loud pictures either side. On fine-art paper the cream ground stays soft and matte, which is what makes the linework feel hand-drawn.
