First glance: dusty pink. Second glance: the abstract doing something smarter. The planes cross and overlap, so warm tan, sage green and a sliver of near-black all take a turn depending on the light. On a plain wall it does the job of a colour scheme: it tells the rest of the room which tones to follow, without shouting. Hang it above a sofa, a sideboard or a desk, or use it to fill a tall gap between windows. Pair it with linen, pale wood, stoneware and matt fittings. Don’t crowd it with busy pattern or fussy florals it needs a bit of clear wall to let the overlaps read. As a canvas the painterly texture reads softly, with no glazing to catch the light.
