Too much beige. Not enough soft pink. This fixes that. One leaf fills the whole frame, painted in pink, mustard yellow, orange and sky blue, and it lifts the colour temperature of a room the moment it goes up. Cream walls stop looking flat. Pale wood and linen read warmer next to it. Hang it high on a hallway wall where you pass it every day, above a sideboard, or in a living room alcove that needs one bright thing. Keep the furnishings plain around it, plenty of white and pale wood, one or two green plants. Don’t crowd it with other patterned pieces or busy wallpaper, and skip heavy dark frames nearby. On fine-art paper the brushmarks and paint edges stay crisp and clean.
