Hang it in a kitchen above the counter, in a hallway at eye level, or on a small stretch of wall between windows where a bigger piece would crowd. It sits happily with painted timber, pale wood, linen, and cream or blue stoneware. Don’t bury it in a tight cluster of busy patterned pieces, and don’t put it on a strongly patterned wallpaper the brushwork needs a plain background to read properly. On fine-art paper the dry brush marks and paper texture stay crisp.
