We like a bath-time dinosaur best when it comes with a little abrasion. The line work here is scratchy and hand-drawn, so the sweetness never tips into syrup. Hung up, it gives a plain bathroom or kids’ room a bit of story without shouting: the pale washes sit back, the dark green of the dinosaur does the work. Best above a bath, on the wall beside a basin, or over a low chest in a child’s room. Pair it with white panelling, chrome or pale wood, and towels in soft green or cream. Don’t crowd it with loud primary-colour prints or busy patterned wallpaper the white background needs air around it to read properly. As a canvas, the edges are soft and there’s no glazing to catch bathroom light.
