There’s a reason painters kept returning to the portrait; rooms still respond. Put this up and a flat wall suddenly has a personality: the soft pink hat lifts the light, the orange and green flowers give the room energy, and the cat gives everyone something to smile at. It earns its place above a sideboard, at the end of a hallway, or on a plain wall in a bedroom where you want colour rather than calm.
