Hang it in a hallway at eye level, above a low bench, or in a study behind the desk. It also earns its place in a kitchen, where the tone stays light and the drawing keeps things from feeling flat. Pair it with painted panelling, aged leather, checked or striped fabric, and simple dark wood. Don’t crowd it with big glossy colour photographs or heavy modern abstracts, and skip a busy patterned wallpaper directly behind it. On fine-art paper the pen lines and hatching stay crisp and readable up close.
