This isn’t wall filler. It’s soft pink with a point of view. The daisy is cropped right in, so you get thick painted petals and a mustard yellow centre rather than a tidy little flower study. Hang it and a plain wall stops feeling unfinished the sage green background cools the room while the pink and cream keep it warm. It works above a bed, on a chimney breast, or at the end of a hallway where you want one clear focal point. Pair it with linen, pale wood, rattan and cream stoneware. Don’t crowd it with other florals or busy pattern; it wants space either side to read properly. As a canvas the surface picks up light much like the painted original.
