Hang this where the side-light hits and the washed blue sharpens. A study or hallway wall picks up the water on the right and lets the green fairways settle into the paper. Put it up and the wall stops being flat: the long shoreline gives the room a vertical line to follow, and the muted greens quiet down a busy corner without going dull. It works on a study wall behind a desk, in a hallway, between two windows, or above a chest of drawers. Pair it with oak or pale timber, linen upholstery, an aged leather chair and matt stoneware. Don’t crowd it with team colours, framed shirts or bright sporting memorabilia the map does better with calm, plain things around it. On fine-art paper the small bunkers and tree lines stay crisp.
