Try it above the sideboard; the horizontal body of the bird will do the editing. The cream page tone takes the hard edge off a white wall, and the soft grey neck and black feather markings give you something to look at without adding colour to the room. Hang it at eye level in a hallway, a study, or over a sideboard in a dining room. Pair it with dark stained wood, aged leather, rush seating and simple stoneware. Keep glossy chrome and loud pattern away from it, and don’t crowd it with bright modern graphics the fine pencil lines need a bit of quiet around them. As a canvas the aged paper tone warms up and the edges sit flush to the wall.
