Start with the soft pink; it’ll wake every linen and pale oak around it. The snowy roofline and frosted firs bring a quiet, storybook hush into the room, while the garlands and wreath nod to Christmas without shouting about it. Hang it in an entryway, above a hallway console, or in a child’s bedroom for the run-up to the holidays. It works well alongside cream wool throws, painted timber, brass door fittings and a stoneware vase of evergreen clippings. Skip placing it next to bright red tartan, busy reindeer prints or heavy gold tinsel those will fight the watercolour softness. Best brought out from late November and kept up through January, when its washed blues and warm pinks feel most at home.
