In the 1960s, this would have felt radical. It still does. A stack of hand-painted cubes in mustard yellow, purple and teal, balanced like children’s blocks that never quite fell over. Put it up and a plain room suddenly has a focal point: the mustard warms the light, the teal cools it back down, and everything else in the room can stay quiet.
